all cookies are created Equal”. The difference
between cookies, even the same type of cookies, varies greatly
due to several important factors:
The Recipe
A great tasting cookie begins with a great recipe.
There are a number of great recipes in home kitchens and in
the baking market. We applaud all great recipes and believe
our recipes, developed over a 25-year span, are in that special
classification of “Great Recipes”.
The Ingredients:
This is where the “Turbo Boost”
function applies to differentiating great cookies from each
other. This is why we believe we can elevate our cookies from
great tasting cookies to the “Greatest Tasting
Cookies”.
The types and brands of ingredients
used have a tremendous impact on the taste of a cookie.
We performed hundreds of blind taste tests varying a wide
array of ingredients to reach this conclusion.
The results of these tests were truly amazing
– ingredient brands do make an enormous difference
in a cookie!!!
To “Our Muffin Top Cookie Line and
our Premium Cookie Line use only Natural and/or Naturally
Organic Ingredients – nothing
artificial is added or
is contained in the ingredients we use.”
Our Gourmet Sugar Free/Lower Carb Line
of cookies use the same ingredients as our Premier Gourmet
line with the exception that sugar is replaced with Splenda,
chocolate chips, when used, are replaced with a maltitol
chocolate, and butter is replaced with Organic Non-Hydrogenated

Our Gourmet Gluten Free Cookies are
Lactose Free and Casein Free – they are
made with an Organic/Natural Non-Hydrogenated pressed palm
fruit oil This oil is not only non-hydrogenated and naturally
free of Trans Fats but it is all natural, organic, lactose
free, high in antioxidants and cholesterol free. This oil
should not be confused with Palm Kernel oil which is high

No Preservatives and No Artificial Additives
Curious Cookie’s All Natural Gourmet Cookies
do not use any preservatives or artificial additives –
directly or indirectly. We thought it would be helpful to
underline what our All Natural Gourmet cookies DO
NOT CONTAIN and the definitions of these preservatives
and additives:
a. Hydrogenated Oils/Fats
Hydrogenation was originally developed to produce low-cost
soap. It's the process of modifying fat, artificially converting
liquid fats into solids such as margarine, lard, non-dairy
cream and nut butters. These artificially created fats can
be used as butter and dairy substitutes. One reason manufacturers
prefer the use of hydrogenated oils is because they extend
shelf life (life of the food, not yours!). These fats also
provide a less expensive cost alternative to butter.

b. Partially Hydrogenated Oil/Fats
Refers to oils that have become partially hydrogenated or
hardened. Partial Hydrogenation creates un-uniform bonding
of fat molecules that result in Trans Fats. This process is
used to make vegetable oil more solid. An example of this
is margarine, which is made from liquid vegetable oil.
Curious Cookie products contain No Partially Hydrogenated
Oils and Fats.
c. Trans Fats
Trans fats are produced through hydrogenation, a chemical
process by which hydrogen is added to unsaturated fatty acids
– see above. Trans fats cause significant and serious
lowering of HDL (good) cholesterol and a significant and serious
increase in LDL (bad) cholesterol; make the arteries more
rigid; cause major clogging of arteries; cause or contribute
to type 2 diabetes; and cause or contribute to other serious
health problems. Trans fats are placed into food to increase
shelf life.
Curious Cookie products contain No Trans Fats.
d. Margarine
Margarine is an artificial oil/fat – created from hydrogenated
oils
(partially hydrogenated or fully hydrogenated). Many margarines
are high in Trans Fats.

We have taken as much care as is practical for our
business to ensure a safe and enjoyable Gluten Free Product.
We do not have a dedicated facility for Gluten Free products
but we do take care through our mixing and baking process
to help ensure there is no cross-contamination of Gluten
Free and Gluten products. This process is outlined as:

Our Gluten Free Cookies have no nuts of any
type contained in them. Our Facility is a Peanut Free facility
however we do use Macadamia nuts in other cookie lines...not
the gluten free line. Cookies containing Macadamia nuts are
made in the same facility but on different days than any
of our Gluten Free Products.
We have provided the
Nutritional information with a list of ingredients used
in the Gluten Free cookies to help eliminate confusion
as to the cookie contents.
